Ilvaite is an uncommon mineral. The recent finds at Huanggang Mine, Ulanhad League, Inner Mongolia Region, China have clearly produced ilvaite specimens of a calibre previously unknown for this mineral. Ilvaite is a sorosilicate of iron and calcium, but both manganese and magnesium substitute in the structure. It occurs in contact metamorphic rocks and skarn ore deposits. It also occurs less commonly in syenites. According to New Age Therapists ilvaite assists in developing patience and opens the door to increasing your personal perseverance. Some use this stone to seek truth. It is a grounding stone that is often used to find one's center. Enhances emotional stability and heightens the prospects for gratification.
